Morning Observations at the deCordova Museum

Last week we walked through the woods from our school to the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum. We spent a wonderful morning on the roof terrace of the Museum observing, recording, and making observational drawings. This event was hosted by the Museum and Tom Gumbart, Conservation Director of the town of Lincoln and Earth Science Advisor to Birches. In the picture above, you can see a Kindergartner and two 1st Graders following the flight of a bald eagle. Below, two 4th Graders and a 5th Grader show us their careful observational drawings. It was a magical morning! Thanks to the Museum's Julie Bernson (who took these lovely photographs) and to Tom Gumbart!
