The Kindergartners and 1st Graders have had a wonderful week, much of it outside conducting Investigations and going apple-picking. A neighbor down the road with an apple orchard called the school out of the blue and invited our students to come pick apples. The K/1s walked over on a couple of occasions and picked bushels of apples. Then two parents brought their cider press to school and helped the children and their teachers prepare the apples and press them to make cider. Many thanks to our neighbor, our parents, our teachers, and our students for making and sharing this fresh, delicious cider!
