Laying Out City Roads and Rivers

The seven city groups of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Graders have continued to design their neighborhoods. Our city planners are learning to collaborate with their peers, compromising with one another when sharing ideas. The groups have recently finished the designing and laying out of roads and rivers and are now using cardboard to begin the construction of their neighborhood buildings, which include houses, factories, cabins, resorts, restaurants, schools and more. The scale of our model city is 1 inch equals 10 linear feet, and 1 square inch equals 100 square feet. Stay tuned for more updates and pictures!
