Harley Racer, J.D.

Harley Racer is an attorney at the Boston, Massachusetts law firm Rich May. P.C., where he focuses on land use disputes, conservation and environmental law and complex civil litigation, including the protection of non-profit partners in affordable housing partnership disputes. He aggressively protects and conserves open space and public rights to land through litigation representing land trusts, environmental organizations, citizen groups and abutting property owners. He has advised and assisted multiple municipalities in drafting and enacting local open space and wetland protection bylaws and ordinances. Harley earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and his juris doctor from Northeastern University School of Law.

Harley is a lifelong learner of the natural world. He keeps bees, weaves baskets and is an avid permaculture gardener.  He spends much of his free time outside with his wife and three kids immersed in the natural world whether in their backyard food forest, hiking, foraging or family camping.
