KATE KENT, M.M.E.D
MUSIC TEACHER

Kate has been teaching for 15 years in her home studio and also at independent schools such as Tower School in Marblehead, MA and Fay School in Southborough, MA. She grew up learning the Suzuki method with violin at age 2, and piano at age 5. She has spent her life loving the benefits of music, and enjoying playing with others. She received a B.A. in Music from Wheaton College, MA, where she was twice awarded the Helen Zoe Duncan Prize in Piano Performance. She received a M.M.ed. from Boston University. She has completed Suzuki Teacher Training in piano, violin, and Suzuki in the Schools. She has multiple certifications including Orff & Kodaly. She has received rave reviews from her past students. Here is one: “Before your class, I just liked music. Now, I want to spend the rest of my life with it.” And another: “You have never failed to make me feel BIG and happy.” Kate loves making music with her husband and three children. They also enjoy hiking and spending time at their cabin in the white mountains of New Hampshire.
