ANNA FISHER, M.A.
Anna was born and raised in a small town in New Hampshire, with woods and a pond in her backyard. She has always been an avid reader, participating in summer challenges at her local library even as a young child. While she tried multiple sports in her youth, she ultimately settled on soccer and horseback riding, and she continues to play and coach soccer as an adult.
Anna pursued two degrees in history before entering teacher training to become a licensed educator. Education seemed like a natural fit for her as she had always loved school and it provided the chance to share her passion for learning while also continuing to develop new knowledge and skills of her own. For the first eight years of her career as a teacher, she lived and worked in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, an amazing experience that has shaped her adult life. She built a community through connections from work, her soccer team and varied interests such as life drawing classes.
Anna moved back to the United States to be closer to family and has made her home in the Boston area, appreciating the balance between nature and city activities. Her location has allowed her to pursue my many hobbies including hiking, kayaking, bicycling, boxing, soccer, travel, tennis, and, her newest addition, refinishing old furniture. She loves being back in New England and the wonderful community she has found here.
