Join us for a summer filled with discovery, creativity, and outdoor adventures! Each week of Summer Explorations offers engaging nature-based activities, including hands-on arts and crafts, scenic hikes, and exciting outdoor games. Whether creating unique projects, uncovering secrets of the forest, or fostering teamwork through dynamic activities, every day is designed to inspire a love for nature and create lasting memories.

Eco-Friendly Artists
This week offers the chance to connect art and nature. Channeling the works of eco-friendly artists, children will create temporary installations from natural and found materials. Lead Teacher: Katherine Parisky

BAM! Birches Academy of Magic!
Children will enter a world of magic and have the opportunity to mix and make potions, slime, and even food. Whether wizardry and magic are used to create wands, crystal balls, or recipes in the mud kitchen, children will surely delight in their creations. Lead Teacher: Mara Lappin

Plant Power
Exploring different plants and pollinators, from flowers and ferns to bees and butterflies, will be the focus of the week. Children will also make crafts, cook, participate in scavenger hunts, and play in the water while exploring the natural environment of Birches’ backyard. Lead Teacher: Florentien de Ruiter

Forest Games
This week, the children will experience the joy of games in all their forms. In addition to playing various outdoor and indoor games, they will have opportunities to develop their own fun and satisfying activities, which the group will test and play. Whether it's a new twist on an old classic or an original new game that tests skills and strategies, children will undoubtedly think it's all fun and games! Lead Teacher: Quinn Eastburn
